Currently at Cooper-Hewitt is the exhibition House Proud: Nineteenth Century Watercolor Interiors from the Thaw Collection a selection of 85 watercolor interior drawings - the largest collection of its kind in the United States.


The collection documents the evolution of the domestic interior in the nineteenth century, revealing the impact of economic, social, and political developments in the concept of ‘the house’. 


This limited exhibition will be open until January 25, 2009
